Siena Farms is proud to offer Food Security Farm Shares to support hunger relief and expand access to fresh, healthy vegetables across Greater Boston and New York City. Through partnerships with the YMCA of Greater Boston, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston, and Sanctuary for Families, your support directly provides Siena Farms produce to families facing food insecurity.
Your purchase helps fund two connected efforts:
1. Through our partnership with the YMCA’s Mobile Market program – a custom-built farm stand truck – Siena Farms produce is distributed free of charge to communities across Greater Boston experiencing acute food insecurity. Over the past year alone, the Y's Mobile Market trucks have delivered more than 90,000 pounds of Siena Farms vegetables to local children and families. With your help, we can keep that momentum going.
Please note: purchases of Food Security Farm Shares on our website are not tax-deductible, but they have an immediate impact. If you’re looking instead to make a tax-deductible contribution, you can make a gift to the YMCA of Greater Boston at this link, which will also directly support our ongoing partnership with their Mobile Market program.
2. In addition to supporting the Mobile Market, Food Security Farm Shares also fund the distribution of our Vegetable Farm Shares to families in need through three partner organizations: the Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston, Sanctuary for Families in NYC, and once again the YMCA of Greater Boston.
Your purchase covers the cost of Siena Farms veggie CSA boxes delivered directly to these families, year-round.
Since launching this program in 2020, we have been able to distribute more than 20,000 Siena Farms' CSA boxes to families facing food insecurity. That’s a lot of veggies! We’re so grateful and excited to build on this momentum with the ongoing support of our CSA community.
