Siena Farms is proud to offer Food Security Farm Shares to support hunger relief and expand access to fresh, healthy vegetables across Greater Boston and New York City. Through partnerships with the YMCA of Greater Boston, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston, and Sanctuary for Families, your support directly provides Siena Farms produce to families facing food insecurity.
Your purchase helps fund two connected efforts:
1. Through our partnership with the YMCA’s Mobile Market program—a custom-built farm stand truck — we supply fresh produce that is distributed free of charge to communities across Greater Boston experiencing acute food insecurity. Over the past year alone, we’ve been able to deliver more than 70,000 pounds of Siena Farms vegetables to local children and families. With your help, we can keep that momentum going.
Please note: Food Security Farm Shares are not tax-deductible, but they have a direct and immediate impact. If you’re looking to make a tax-deductible contribution, you can do so through the YMCA here, directly supporting our ongoing partnership with the Mobile Market program.
2. In addition to supporting the Mobile Market, Food Security Farm Shares also fund the year-round distribution of Siena Farms' Vegetable CSA Shares to families in need through our partner networks: the YMCA of Greater Boston, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston, and Sanctuary for Families.
Your purchase covers the cost of CSA veggie boxes delivered directly to these families.
Since launching this program in 2020, we have been able to distribute more than 30,000 Siena Farms' CSA boxes to families facing food insecurity. That’s a lot of veggies! We’re so grateful and excited to build on this momentum with the support of our CSA community.
